1. Acceptance
By downloading, accessing, or using Bible Study Verse (the “App”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Eligibility
The App is intended for people aged 18 and over. By using it, you confirm that you meet this requirement and can enter into these Terms.
3. Purpose and limitations
The App provides Bible reading, study, audio, reflection, prayer, planning, and note-taking features. It is not a substitute for professional medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or crisis support. If you may be in danger or experiencing a crisis, contact local emergency services or a qualified professional.
4. Scripture and generated guidance
The first release bundles the complete public-domain World English Bible and displays its source and edition attribution in the App. AI-assisted reflections are optional and may be incomplete or mistaken. Generated guidance is not Scripture, does not replace clergy or professional advice, and must not be represented as revelation or an authoritative religious ruling.
5. Accounts
An account is optional for core use. If you create one, you are responsible for the security of your device, email account, and sign-in method. You must provide accurate information and may not access another person's account.
Email/password and Google accounts may create an account-authenticated encrypted backup. A valid Firebase session is required to unlock the account-specific key through our API. The backup has no separate recovery phrase and is not a user-held zero-knowledge backup. Restore may be unavailable during an outage, after provider lockout, or after account deletion.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of notes, reflections, prayers, and other original content you create. You grant us only the limited rights needed to process, synchronize, encrypt, store, or delete that content at your direction and to operate the App.
7. Acceptable use
You may not misuse the App, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with its operation, reverse engineer protected services where prohibited by law, abuse AI or network endpoints, upload illegal content, or use the App to harm, harass, deceive, or exploit others.
8. Free service and advertising
The App is free and supported by advertising. Bible reading, prayer, memory practice, audio, plans, notes, and study tools are not locked behind a paid tier. Ads may appear only at appropriate placements or natural completion points; they are not shown while reading Scripture, writing prayers, taking memory tests, or listening to audio. Optional rewarded ads do not restrict access to essential features.
9. Intellectual property
The App's original software, interface, branding, illustrations, and non-user content belong to the publisher or relevant licensors. Bible translations, fonts, libraries, and third-party services remain the property of their respective owners and are used under their applicable licenses.
10. Availability
We work to keep the App reliable but do not promise uninterrupted availability. Offline Bible reading and search do not require our server; optional AI, account backup, Bible-package downloads, ads, and other online features may depend on network access, third-party providers, regional availability, or service limits.
11. Suspension and termination
We may limit or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect users, prevent abuse, comply with law, or secure the service. You may stop using the App or request account deletion at any time.
12. Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that every feature, generated response, translation, or third-party service will be error-free. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms when the App or legal requirements change. Material changes will be communicated reasonably, and the date on this page will be updated.
